Após o sucesso à escala global com "Les Paysages", de ter conquistado os sábados à noite com o genérico da série "Odisseia" e o épico "Stopocalyse Now" presente no episódio 6 da mesma, Jerónimo Rocha realiza agora o spot promocional para o DVD desta tão amada série. Animado por Bruno Caetano (eu mesmo) e com direcção de fotografia de João Lança Morais aka Janeko, demos vida a este excelente objecto lúdico (youp...é também um jogo de tabuleiro), repleto de humor, visitas aos bastidores e pequenas pérolas humorísticas destes bastiões da comédia nacional.

After the global sucess of "Les Paysages", conquering saturday nights with the intro of the show "Odisseia" and the epic "Stopocalypse Now" present on the 6th episode, Jerónimo Rocha directs this promotional spot for the DVD of this beloved tv series. Animated by Bruno Caetano (me) and with cinematography by João Lança Morais aka Janeko, we gave life to this excelent ludic object (youp...its also a board game), filled with humor, behind the scenes footage and little humoristic pearls from these bastions of Portuguese comedy.

Da técnica aplicada, cenários magníficos e fotografia excepcional, o Natal chega mais cedo com um sentimento de calor e amizade trazido por "The Bear and the Hare" e suas encantadoras personagens.

Recently we have posted here at the Stop Motion Portugal blog an advert "Things Matter" that stood out by its large scale complexity and its overall quality, and now Blink and John Lewis surprise us again with an unparalleled commercial. From the technique used, magnificent sets and exceptional lighting, christmas comes early this year filled with warmth and friendship brought by "The Bear and the Hare" and its enchanted characters.

Uma perfeita combinação entre stop motion e pós-produção onde o animador Victor Haegelin aka Patator mostra mais uma vez a sua criatividade e capacidade levar esta técnica mais à frente. Não é que nunca tenha sido feito antes, mas aqui o uso de todos os recursos disponíveis não podiam dar melhor resultado.

A perfect combination between stop motion and post-production where animator Victor Haegelin aka Patator shows once again is creativity and ability to take this technic beyond. Not that it hasn't been done before, but here all the resources at hand couldn't have a better outcome.

Esta é a razão pela qual eu adoro publicidade com stop motion. Escalas de produção enormes, ideias fora do normal e a constante tentativa de demonstrar que o impossível é algo que varia mediante o esforço que se quer aplicar ao projecto. O pessoal da Blink demonstra isso neste spot e em grande estilo.

This is the reason why i love adverts with stop motion. Huge scale of productions, out of the box ideas and a constant attempt to demonstrate that the impossible its something that varies depending on the effort you want to put into the project. The guys at Blink demonstrate that in this spot and in great style.

Este pequeno vídeo de apresentação da Sponge Creative Hub não só surpreendeu como me deu a conhecer este novo "Estúdio" Lisboeta. Recomendo passarem pelo site ou pelo facebook deles a fim de ficarem a conhecer melhor este interessante projecto.

This little presentation video from Sponge Creative Hub not only surprised but also let me know about this new Lisbon based "Studio". i recomend droping by their site ou facebook so you can get to know this interesting project a little bit better.

Como tenho andado um pouco atrasado nos meus posts, eis uma pérola que fazia falta para arquivo do Stop Motion Portugal.  Espero que apreciem esta curta publicidade pois para mim é das mais ambiciosas que tenho visto ultimamente, desde cenários de tirar a respiração até à atenção ao pormenor presente nos adereços e na qualidade da animação, esta dotada equipe levou a cabo um excelente projecto com total distinção. Adora ver um making of desta produção.

Since i have been a little behind on my posts, here is a pearl that was missing at the Stop Motion Portugal Archive. Hope you guys enjoy this advert because for me its one of the most ambicious i have seen lately, from the breath taking sets to the incredible detail present on the props and animation, this skilled team took on this excelent project with total distinction. Would love to see a making of video of this production.

With a very sharp sense of humor Dentsu presents these very funny tv ads.  Although the scale appeared to be quite small i was surprised by the fact that it was bigger than i expected.

Com uma animação super fluída, planos dinâmicos e um skate park feito de prendas de Natal, Andy Bailey consegue ligar a qualidade da sua animação à imaginação presente em qualquer criança. Isto era o que se passava na minha cabeça quando brincava no meu quarto.


Advert for Tech Deck, the mini skate giant. With a super flowy animation, alot of dinamic shots and a skate park made out of chrismas presents, Andy Baily tied up is quality animation to the imagination of any child. This was what was going on in my mind when i used to play in my room.

Genial e tecnicamente deslumbrante. Os estúdios Glasswork retratam aqui a vida e obra de Adi Dassler e a história por detrás da marca Adidas. A escala usada foi 1:3 e foram tirados cerca de 4800 frames durante a produção desta publicidade. :)

Genius and technically stunning. The Glasswork studios portrait here the life and work of Adi Dassler and the story behind the Adidas Brand. The scale used was 1:3 and over 4800 frames were taken on the production of this advert. :)
